Control levers

Volvo Penta has developed a number of control units with ergenomically tested hand levers and distinct operational functions which provide maximum safety and comfort when manoeuvering a vessel; All controls can disengage the transmission in order to warm up the engine. In addition the engines are fitted with, or are prepared for, the installation of a neutral safety switchwhich prevents the engine being started in gear. All single and twin controls have a combined acceleration and gear shift function and are suitible for all types of Volvo Penta engines with related drive or reversing gear as wekk as other engine/transmission.
